So, Noah & took the drive up the 101 to the Church Estate in Malibu yesterday for a walk-thru. We have a client getting married there later this year and all we can say is A.MA.ZING! The Church Estate sits on a nine acre vineyard and is home to the most lovely stables, an incredible boat house, clay tennis court, and killer views. The 8000 sq ft house is design perfection. No detail is overlooked. Every room is decorated with its own unique French Provincial palette. The kitchen has the largest farmhouse sink I’ve ever seen and the wine cellar has 2000 year-old stone floors imported from Cypress, yes 2000 year-old stones. Although many a celeb has been married at the Estate, but our plans are to make this party like no other the estate has ever hosted. True LHE-style. Brills.

Our fashionable and in-the-know brides are always looking for incredible spaces to host their weddings. Well, recently we stumbled across an amazing location: Spectacle Island. Off the coast of Maine, located in Frenchman’s Bay, this amazing post and beam, hand-carved home is perfect for a private New England wedding. Transportation to and from the Island is by way of your own private captain and boat. The entire house is available for rental and can include a chef. We will have no problem creating an amazing tented wedding on this serene island. Good times.
Pantone released their Fashion Color Report for the new Fall 2010 lines: Endive, Golden Glow, Living Coral, Lipstick Red, Purple Orchid, Chocolate Truffle, Lagoon, Woodbine, Oyster Gray, and Rose Dust. ”Building on the color palette from spring, this season’s offerings include innovative takes on fundamental basics, as well as transporting, lively colors that conjure images of travel and adventure, whether real or aspirational.” We can certainly identify these colors within the wedding palettes of last year and what’s ahead for this season. No surprise that we are seeing Purple Orchid and Lipstick Red, as many of our weddings last season gravitated towards that palette. Although, we’d love to see some weddings infused with a little Oyster Gray paired with Rose Dust.

So, you may recognize today’s Daily Inspiration photo as one of our LHE SoCal weddings. As we mentioned earlier this year, Emily & Pete’s fresh wedding was featured in Bride & Bloom magazine. We wanted to share with you the talented floral designer with whom we collaborated to make this beach-chic theme come to life. Toby is the creative force behind Lilla Bello Studios in Los Angeles and we seriously crush-on her aesthetic. Here are some of our fave images of Toby’s work. Check it. PS. We had to include Emily & Pete (images 2&3) in this little tidbit too.
Here’s some info about Toby and her studio, in her own words, of course…
Toby Kassoy (owner/designer), a Los Angeles native, first trained to become a florist in Eugene, Oregon where she attended college. What started out as a part time job, transformed into her lifelong passion. After returning to L.A., she also spent 8 years working within the entertainment industry, while simultaneously maintaining her freelance work as a floral designer. The culmination of Toby’s experiences over the years, ultimately inspired the conception of Lillà Bello Studio in 2004…
Ceci worked their magic yet again with one of our clients. This lovely save-the-date is for one of our upcoming Destination Weddings. The wedding will be held in Vermont, and as you can see, the STD is perfectly rustic-chic. Love the muted gray and blue hues. Combined with the subtle yellows and blush. Gorg scripted, elegant font. Brills.
Bride & Bloom featured one of our Real Weddings in the latest Winter Issue. Emily & Pete’s event was classic beach-chic. A Tiffany-blue palette and perfect oceanside location of Shutters on the Beach created pure SoCal perfection. Emily is absolutely stunning! Every little detail was orchestrated by our Kelly, who also designed the event in conjunction with the wonderful Toby of Lilla Bello. Our fave detail was the adorable blue boxes filled with Krispy Kreme donuts as a favor for guests! And, Emily’s biggest piece of advice to brides in the article is to “hire a planner”! A true testament to Kelly *loves*

Yay! One of our most adorable weddings (& couple) was featured in the recent Winter issue of The Knot Southern California. Dena & Adam were married last October at Mountaingate Country Club in Los Angeles. The always-amazing Chenin Boutwell captured their day and Fiore Designs created the beautiful blooms. Chuck-t’s on the kids. Love. Check it.
Santa Barbara photographer Anthony Elgort recently revamped his wedding site and we definitely recommend that you check it for an abundance of gorgeous images. Anthony is a fashion photographer, who has entered the wedding arena. He’s worked under Leibovitz, Avedon, and Demarchelier. Lucky brides. Here’s a taste…
Back in September Carrie produced a gorgeous event in Montauk. Shane Carpenter was the always-talented photographer. It was a perfect fall weekend and the photos completely capture the fabulous moments of this incredible wedding. Check out the amazing shot of her Vera dress–a personal fave. Enjoy!
