We are sure that you’ve heard, especially if you’ve passed the huge billboard in Soho, that Jimmy Choo has announced a line for H&M. Yes, you read that correctly. It will be in stores on November 14th. And, for those fellow mama’s out there, as you know, Stella McCartney just launched her kids line for Gap (baby & kids). Apparently, it’s selling like crazy. Cashmere leggings. Skinny jeans. Loves it. The Gap on Fifth will have all the pieces tomorrow! Lastly, a recent fave find is Matteo Bambino. Special order at ABC Carpet. Gorgeous linens, coverlets, and even bumpers. A full line of chic crib bedding for your little one. Delicious. Totally ecstatic that Raleigh’s arrived yesterday!

Some of our fave finds from the internets…the new Chanel campaign is fierce. Our boyfriend Marc Jacobs does it again with these campy-rings. JCrew has made us swoon with these faux feathers. Anthropologie gave us new hair inspiration. And couldn’t have a fashion post without including Oscar–these necklaces are to die for.
Love this. What else can we say? Leather. Lucite. Enamel. Saks 5th Ave. Plan to pair it with this lovely score for Fall.

Any fashion-conscious New Yorker is eagerly awaiting the commencement of NY Fashion Week. So, what better way to commemorate this fabulous time of year but with a YSL Manifesto canvas tote. You could score one of the free 500,000 totes being given out in New York on Sept 12.
The front: Turlington & logo. The back: a description of what she is wearing. Brilliant. Count down here. Loves.

Our friend Julia is a fashion designer, working primarily with what I like to call “knit couture.” She is an incredible talent. Recently, she showed me some of her amazing new bridal designs. Julia is beginning to step into the wedding area, as she is currently designing a friend’s gown, who is to be married on Martha’s Vineyard in September. Also, she has her first special commission for a wedding next July. I think her work is so sexy and fresh. Each dress is completely one of a kind.
The first dress is entirely knit by hand with antiqued ribbon and pearls.
The second gown with the rose train was draped and sewn by hand with fabric that Julia designed on a small circular knitting machine. It is trimmed in pearls.
The third gown, is made of fine silk embroidery thread knit in an openwork pattern. It is incredibly delicate. Its upper bodice and lower skirt are hand-knit with strands of pearls.
Julia describes her love of “the idea of dressing a bride in a gown that is, in essence, her own little ‘treasure’ — something handmade with an heirloom quality that will be passed down to her daughters and to theirs.”
Please email me (lyndsey@lyndseyhamiltonevents.com) if you are interested in learning more about Julia’s wedding gowns.

We were pleasantly surprised by all the cuteness going on over at J. Crew for spring. Love the looks, the jewelry, even their Inspiration Board for the spring line–everything is adorable.
Maria Bonita Extra is a Brazilian designer and her 2009 collection is adorable. As always, the line is fresh, feminine, and just the right amount of girly. We think these frocks to be perfect for your bridesmaids, a Rehearsal, or any special occasion. Just so perfect.
A few years ago you could find some staple Vena Cava pieces at Barney’s. Hipster.Feminine.Inspired. It was *love*at*first*sight* Both native to L.A. and Parsons grads, Vena Cava is the brilliant collaboration of Sophie Buhai and Lisa Mayock.

Fast forward to 2007, when we produced a wedding for which Sophie was a bridesmaid and designed the dresses for the wedding. The dresses were of course amazing and Sophie is such a beautiful, talented, sweet person. We have since kept in touch with Sophie and her catapulting success. Vena Cava has been in every major fashion magazine from Vogue on down and each collection continues to please fashion industry insiders and clients alike. Can you tell we’re huge fans? The Spring/Summer collection was inspired by 1970s Egypto-mania–for which you can see in the colors, fabrics, lines, and cuts. Check out these pieces that we think can translate into possible bridesmaid dresses or summer wedding attire.
