When Victoria reached out to us we immediately fell for her images. Romantic. Vintage. Sexy. From her intimate and beautifully artistic boudoir sessions to capturing emotion on the wedding day, Victoria’s work is two parts high-fashion photography, one part W mag retro photo shoot. Here is some info about Victoria, in her own words…
As a woman and a recent bride, I know all too well how important the smallest, most minute details can be, for each and every wedding is unique in its own way. There is nothing “cookie cutter” about the most important day in a woman’s life. Everything has to be flawless: the skin, the hair, the dress, the smile, the music – everything has to be about the unique you! And of course, the last thing you should be worried about on this day is photography. I strive to really understand my clients’ needs to make sure my work appears seamless and the results exceed all expectations. I studied photography at the London College of Fashion and honed my skills by working directly with world renowned fashion and beauty photographers. A little over 2 years ago I started by own business in London doing fashion, beauty, boudoir and wedding photography and have never looked back. I have shot all over Europe since and have now moved to NYC to embark on a new and exciting adventure. What makes Victoria Janashvili Photography different? “vogue retouching”, boudoir session for the bride and creativity!
Our fashionable and in-the-know brides are always looking for incredible spaces to host their weddings. Well, recently we stumbled across an amazing location: Spectacle Island. Off the coast of Maine, located in Frenchman’s Bay, this amazing post and beam, hand-carved home is perfect for a private New England wedding. Transportation to and from the Island is by way of your own private captain and boat. The entire house is available for rental and can include a chef. We will have no problem creating an amazing tented wedding on this serene island. Good times.
We are lucky enough to receive treats from talented vendors who want to share their creative businesses with us. Recently, we were sent a cute little ditty from a company owned by two sisters from MD & PA called Gifts for the Good Life. Loves. Little heart-shaped hand warmers. Mini hand-painted delish chocolates. A yummy smelling travel-sized candle. We had to share the love. Definitely check out their blog and site.
Pantone released their Fashion Color Report for the new Fall 2010 lines: Endive, Golden Glow, Living Coral, Lipstick Red, Purple Orchid, Chocolate Truffle, Lagoon, Woodbine, Oyster Gray, and Rose Dust. ”Building on the color palette from spring, this season’s offerings include innovative takes on fundamental basics, as well as transporting, lively colors that conjure images of travel and adventure, whether real or aspirational.” We can certainly identify these colors within the wedding palettes of last year and what’s ahead for this season. No surprise that we are seeing Purple Orchid and Lipstick Red, as many of our weddings last season gravitated towards that palette. Although, we’d love to see some weddings infused with a little Oyster Gray paired with Rose Dust.
