Real Wedding: Shutters on the Beach

As we mentioned last week, Kelly produced and designed a beautiful wedding this past weekend at Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica.  Everything was so gorgeous!  The lovely flowers were provided by the amazing Lilla Bello.  Fabulous paper by Sugar Paper.  Just can’t get enough of the family-style table and classic silver and Tiffany blue palette.

Goodness: Locusts-on-Hudson

We are in love with Locusts-on-Hudson the new space by Andre Balazs–the genius behind our fave hotel ever–Marmont .  This incredible space was built in 1941 and the main house has 14 rooms and a 6 room guest house.  The grounds are incredible.  Truly breathtaking! Perfection.

Goodness: Cinespia

We love Cinespia–vintage movies, shown in a Hollywood cemetery, with a DJ spinning before and after the show.  Goodness.  This week the classic “East of Eden” is playing and we definitely recommend checking in out.  Loves.

James Dean’s first starring role, and the best of his meteoric career, this is the performance that would make him the most legendary actor in history. Vivacious, animated, dexterous; his teenage energy crackles across the screen, and his pouty, magnificent good looks are nothing short of overwhelming. Based on the Steinbeck book, Dean plays the bad boy son who competes with his brother for their father’s favor…. and the affection of the beautiful Julie Harris.

Being Awesome: Hi Design

We have big news today–after six months of work we are launching a new website!  The site should be up by the end of today, but we are so excited about it that we wanted to share a preview!  Thanks SO much to all of the efforts of Kendra & Amanda of Hi Design.  You may also recognize Amanda from her fabulous and always-inspiring blog 100 Layer Cake.  The gorgeous monogram was created by the incredibly talented Jenna from Love Jenna.  Truly a team of the most talented people we know!  Thanks Ladies–it’s been such a pleasure. xo

The process…

Kelly is producing a fabulous event at  Shutters on the Beach next weekend.  We wanted to share with you her inspiration for the design of the event and some preliminary photos of the tabletop to see how everything comes together. The color palette is Tiffany Blue and Silver–so gorgeous.  Lilla Bello is providing the lovely flowers.  The inspiration for the design is the gorgeous invitation from our personal fave Sugar Paper.  Enjoy!
